KSAZ TV – Assignment Editor
Responsible for gathering story info from various news sources and determining the newsworthiness. Making decisions on what stories to cover and assigning/dispatching the crews. Keep news staff apprised of breaking news and changes in assignments. Make beat check calls to law enforcement and other governmental agencies. Communicate with affiliates to ensure continuity in coverage. 1 year exp in TV news, including assignment desk exp. Must be well organized and able to manage multiple projects. Must demonstrate outstanding news judgment and good news writing skills. Must be able to deal effectively with people. Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment. KSAZ TV – News Producer
Produces, or assist with production of, newscasts including story conception and research, content selection, production execution, newscast timing, writing, booking guests and interviews. Field produces spot news stories, planned news events, anchor reports and other outside newscast programming. Weekends, holidays, and varied hours req. Minimum 2-years exp in a TV news dept. Working knowledge of newsroom computers, broadcast satellites and other remote transmission apparatus. Ability to work well under specific time constraints. KSAZ/KUTP TV – Web Sales Manager
Leading role in the growth of the stations web sites and sales. Responsibilities include sales prospecting, presenting, negotiating, closing and managing online revenue. Develop a new revenue stream through the Station's web sites. Demonstrate credibility as an expert in the categories assigned and in online advertising. Sell opportunities online and other emerging technologies, including but not limited to mobile products and desktop applications. Work closely with national and local sales teams, including promotions, production, news and sales to meet expectations. Demonstrate effective revenue projection management, sales reporting and customer relationship management. Must be able to drive an automobile. Varied hours, travel & OT req. Four year college degree or equivalent exp req. Must have a min of 3 yrs online sales exp., with proven sales track record. Working knowledge of all online metrics, technologies and research tools used in marketplace req. Strong relationships with key ad agency personnel req. Exp in direct sales and interactive agencies pref. Knowledge of PC, Power Point, Word and Excel req. Comprehensive knowledge of the internet and online advertising. KSAZ/KUTP TV – Graphic Artist
Production of on-air news, promotion, community relations and client graphics in a timely manner under specific time restraints. Management of system image files. Weekends, holidays and varied hours req. 4 yr coll or tech degree. req. 1 year TV exp req. 5 years graphic art exp req. Work effectively w/ a team. Working knowledge w/ following hard/sofware pref: Quantel Harriet or Quantel platform paintbox, MAC and/or PC platforms, Adobe photoshop, AfterEffects, and Lightwave 3D. Print experience helpful.
